Oversight and administration of school endowments is becoming an increasingly complex challenge for the school business officer and investment committee. As a result, fully- or partially-outsourced consulting models are becoming an increasingly popular choice among schools. Outsourcing makes good business sense for organizations that seek to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, mitigate potential risks and achieve better outcomes. This session highlights three service models — traditional consulting, implemented services and OCIO — and provides a first-hand account of a school's transition to an implemented services model.
